About Us
The Loeb Chair in Organ and Tissue Donation at the University of Ottawa is the first academic chair in the world dedicated to research in the field of organ and tissue donation. Initiated by its benefactor Bertram Loeb and the Bertram Loeb Organ-Tissue Donation Institute, the Chair provides an innovative approach to the study of the global queries, obstacles and barriers surrounding organ donation and transplantation.
By collaborating with existing organizations and developing a Research Consortium in the fields of law, religion, ethics, anthropology, biomedical technology, medicine, nursing, society, philosophy and public policy, the Loeb Chair will advance the academic credibility and research productivity in this field.
