Vision and Mission
Introduction
The Bertram Loeb Chair in Organ and Tissue Donation seated in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ottawa, uses a collaborative, consultative and complementary approach to create new initiatives and investigations relevant to organ and tissue donation. Work will complement, align or intersect with existing organizations already committed to OTD.
Vision
The Loeb Chair will be an academic centre of excellence enabling work by a cross disciplinary group of experts who have access to sustainable research funding in OTD. The organization will be a credible source of knowledge and advice to individuals, organizations, institutions and governments responding to the complexities or involved in the advancement of OTD
Mission
The Loeb Chair provides research leadership in current and emerging issues related to OTD, with an emphasis on collaborative interdisciplinary research (ethical, philosophical, religious, cultural, legal, technological and biomedical).
